The 2 days chimpanzee trekking safari is a short chimpanzee adventure that will take you to Kibale forest national park which is also known as the primate capital. Kibale forest national park is a home of different primate species including chimpanzee, black and white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, blue monkeys, vervet monkeys, olive baboons, grey cheeked mangabey among others. During the 2 days chimpanzee trekking safari, you will get an opportunity to spend time with the chimpanzees in their natural environment.

Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Kibale forest national park-Bigodi swamp walk
Depending on your location on the first day of the 2 days chimpanzee trekking safari, you will be welcomed by our driver guide from either your hotel in Entebbe or Entebbe international airport to start the journey to Kibale forest national park. On the way, you will enjoy stunning views of the scenery, landscape, Rwenzori peaks, tea plantation and a stopover for en-route lunch.
After lunch, you will continue to Kibale forest national park and upon arrival you will go for an interesting nature walk in Bigodi wetland where you will be able to spot different primates, birs species among others. After the Bigodi swamp walk, you will drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and departure to Entebbe
After an early breakfast on the second day of the 2 days chimpanzee trekking safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Kanyachu visitors Centre for chimpanzee trekking briefing. After the briefing, you will be subdivided into groups of 6 people where each group will be allocated a habituated chimpanzee family to trek and an experienced park guide. Trekking of chimpanzees in Kibale forest national park takes about 30 minutes to 5 hours depending on where the chimpanzees are located because they like to move from one place to another in search of food.
During trekking you will be able to view other primate species, mammals, bird species among others and once the chimpanzees are located, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in the habitat which gives you an opportunity to watch them carry out their daily activities like feeding, playing, breastfeeding, resting, hunting, take photos and record videos.
After the one hour with the chimpanzees, you will meet up with your driver guide to start the journey back to Kampala with en-route lunch on the way. Upon Arrival, your driver guide will drop you off at Entebbe international airport for your departure flight or drop off at any place of advise. End of 2 days chimpanzee trekking safari.
