Day 1: Pick up from Kigali and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Depending on your location in Kigali, on the first day of the 2 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking from Kigali, you will be welcomed by our representative from Salt Holidays, who will brief you about the safari before beginning the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey takes around 3 to 4 hours, passing through Cyanika border in Kisoro or Katuna border in Kabale. Here you will get to see beautiful rolling hills, landscapes, and terraced farmlands along the trip. Upon arrival in the park, you will proceed to the lodge for dinner and stay.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and departure to Kigali.
On the second day of the 2 Days Uganda Gorilla Trek from Kigali, after an early breakfast, you will check out of the accommodation/lodge, carry packed lunch along with you and meet your driver guide to proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing about the rules, regulations and expectations for gorilla trekking in Bwindi National Park. Following the briefing, you will be assigned a gorilla family to trek with a park guide who is knowledgeable about gorillas and familiar with jungle pathways.
Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park takes between 30 minutes and 7 hours, depending on where the gorillas are because they like to wander from one location to another in quest of food. During your trip, you will see forest elephants, buffaloes, other primates such as l’hoest monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys as well as several bird species such as the African harrier hawk, crowned hornbill, African green pigeon, blue-headed sunbird among others
Once the gorillas are located, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat, where you will be able to observe their daily activities such as feeding, breastfeeding, and playing, as well as take great photos and record breathtaking moments to show people back home.

After the one-hour encounter with the gentle giants, you will return to the park headquarters, where you will receive a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking, meet your driver guide, and begin your journey back to Kigali.
